Dinner With A Podcaster
John Ong from Ongline Podcast happened to be in DC this weekend. I could not pass up the chance to meet him. Of course we had to have him, his boyfriend, and their friend over for dinner. The boyfriend cooked cuban chicken. It was delicious. We had a wonderful time. If you don't listen to his podcast, check it out.

Podcastalley
I need some help, dear readers. As many of you know I do a podcast as well as post to my blog. Each month a website called Podcastalley ranks podcasts by votes. Before there were thousands of podcasts, I ranked in the top 100 but now that there are so many I've fallen out of the top 100. I would like you to vote for my show even if you don't listen to it. Simply put your e-mail address in the box below and press vote. Don't worry, Podcastalley will not use your address for spam. They have worked hard not to become one of those sites. Once you click the vote button, you will get an e-mail asking if you actually did vote for my show. Click on the link in the e-mail and that will confirm that you voted for my show and your vote will be added. Please take a minute and do that for me, please. Thank you!
Catching Up With Jimbo

Be sure to check out my latest podcast on ArcherRadio! On today's show we catch up with Jimbo. He shares his special turkey call for Thanksgiving. Thanks Jimbo!
Changes
It's time to make some changes. I've been blogging since November 2003. I've been podcasting since April and podcasting is taking up more and more of my time and I am enjoying it more. Podcasting has become the next step in the evolution of my online life. I have also found it more and more difficult to think of things to share on my blog. Because of this I've decided to cut back on my blogging and spend my time on my podcast. I will still post many of my photos from time to time but I won't be having a daily update on the blog. I hope you'll come back from time to time and see if anything has changed.
If you miss the blog too much, I suggest you head over to ArcherRadio and check out my podcast. I am now on iTunes and you can subscribe to the show by clicking the button below. If you are thinking of starting your own podcast, like Mark, I suggest you go for it. I'll listen to you! I know my show is boring but I have a handful of listeners and they encourage me to continue podcasting. You may think your show would be boring but there is an audience out there for everyone. Plus, once you get on iTunes you'd be amazed at the amount of people listening to your show.
So...I hope you aren't too disappointed when you return the next time and there isn't an update on the blog but you can always check out ArcherRadio and see what's happening.

Apple News
If you are an Apple fan you know that Apple released iTunes 4.9 today. The biggest change is it now integrates Podcasts in the iTunes Music Store. It doesn't cost anything to download a podcast though. There are some 3000 podcasts in the directory, but can you believe there isn't a GLBT category in the whole directory! Most of the queercasts I listen to have their podcats buried in the directory. You have to go to health and then sexuality before you find them. It's sad. So this afternoon I got an e-mail from one of the higher profile queercasters asking us to e-mail the guy at Apple who makes these decisions and suggest that they include a category for the GLBT community. I did just that!I hesitated before including ArcherRadio in the directory because I wanted to figure how to include the iTunes tags in my podcast so that I'd have a graphic, a description, and an e-mail address attached to the information displayed when you click on my show name in the directory. I tried figuring it out but couldn't. I'm sure within days there will be plenty of ideas and suggestions plastered on the internet telling us how to do it. I'll do it then. So I decided late this afternoon to go ahead and get myself included in the directory. I put my podcast in two areas. I decided I could fall under Audio Blogs and Sexuality. I also clicked on the explicit box so that I could continue to cuss and talk about sex without censorship. As of this minute it hasn't shown up on the directory yet. Of course they tell you that it won't show up instantly on the directory. I don't know how long it will take though. I'll have to check back from time to time until it shows up.
The other issues to deal with are bandwidth and storage space. The more shows I create, the more storage I use up. And the more shows that are out there, the more bandwidth gets used up. I'll have to worry about those issues when the time comes.
So if you are an Apple fan, go download iTunes 4.9 if you haven't do so already.
Get To Know Jimbo

I had the fine pleasure of speaking with Jimbo on the phone tonight. I recorded the audio for my podcast. He is a very intelligent, insightful man. He's been blogging for a long time and has a lot to say about many different topics. We talked about his back pain, drugs, sex, bloggers, boyfriends, and many other topics. I had a great time talking to him and finding out more about him. So head over to ArcherRadio and check out the show with Jimbo. Thanks Jimbo!
If there are any other bloggers out there who would like to be part of one of my podcasts, feel free to e-mail me and let me know. We'll set something up. Homer, Bert, and now Jimbo have been on the podcast and I'd be glad to have others be guests on the podcast.
Bandwidth
A month ago I changed my storage limit and bandwidth limit. At that time I was thinking I would keep posting my podcast, ArcherRadio, through this site and I thought the 10 GB limit would be enough to do that. Then I decided to spin off ArcherRadio to it's own site, which I did. Well since then my bandwidth has been going through the roof. On this site in one month I've had 7.6 GB of bandwidth used up. I couldn't figure out why it was so high because I moved the podcast to it's own site. So I checked out my stats and it looks like there are lots of guys (or gals) checking out my nude photos. You all are checking out the naked mens more often then I thought. I'm glad you are enjoying them.
On the ArcherRadio site, the bandwidth is up to 7.1 in the month since I started it. I thought that one would get more traffic then this site since the files are much larger. And I have an RSS feed on that site. Also, I'm listed on Podcastalley.com (vote for me!) and linked on several other podcast sites. I've had a lot of traffic over on ArcherRadio but not nearly as much as I thought I would with the exposure I've had. Of course if I had reached my limit and the site was shut down, I'd be mad as hell right now. If you haven't checked out my podcast on ArcherRadio, go over there and check it out and vote for my podcast. You can do it right on that page. Thanks!
So I guess I'm happy that both sites keep getting the traffic. I'm glad people are enjoying the nude photos as well as the podcasts. I just hope I don't need to up my bandwidth limit again anytime soon. That shit is expensive!

More Changes
In the last 24 hours I have updated my system software to OS X 10.4 and made some major changes to my web sites. I decided to separate my blog from my podcats so I registered a new domain name for the podcasts. All of my podcasts will now be posted to ArcherRadio. So if you've been enjoying the podcasts and want to hear more, head over to ArcherRadio and download the latest podcast. Also, that site has an RSS Feed so you can check it in your favorite RSS Feed reader. For the blog, I will try to continue to update everyday but it seems like I've been missing the weekends lately. I'll try to get back to that soon. I will use the blog to write about anything I want of course and post lots of photos. But of course I want you to book mark ArcherRadio and listen to my podcasts.
Voice Mail

Here's another exciting episode of Archerr Radio. During this show we here some audio clips from DVD's, voice mail from Homer's trip to NYC for the big blogger event, read odd news articles from today, and talk about the weekend and cleaning my condo for the boyfriend's visit. Enjoy!
Door Dings

During this show I talk about all the podcasts I've been listening to lately and getting a ding in my car door. I also talk about various other things. I now have voice mail! You call my voice mail number and leave a message. Your message might be in my next podcast! The number is: 1-206-600-4763 And I now have a Skype name. It's archerr2. If you see me online, give me a call and we'll chat.

Podcast #5

Here is the next edition of Archerr Radio. The majority of the show is spent talking with W. (the boyfriend) after a wonderful dinner. We are enjoying a nice bottle of wine and talking about everything from wine to sex. It's a must hear edition of the show. It also happens the be the longest show to date. Enjoy!
International
I just read the comments about my last podcast and I see that I have an international audience. The farthest away right now is Germany. I love it! If you haven't listened to my last podcast, please do so and leave me a comment telling me where you are from.
I'm off to the boyfriend's house this weekend so there won't be an update until either late Sunday evening or Monday evening. It just depends on how the weekend goes.
Have a great weekend!

Podcast #4

Here's podcast number 4. I talk about The Amazing Race, Microsoft, not having enough time to do everything, a blister on my toe, Spain's gay marriage law, how far away my listeners are, and self sex. Enjoy!
Podcast #3

Here is my third podcast. During this show I talk about Wanda Wisdom of Lucky Bitch Radio and how she mentioned my e-mail and show on her show today. I also mentioned how she inspired me to do my own show. Thank you, Wanda! I also talk a lot about podcasts and I get into detail about my photo shoot over the weekend with the hot naked men and what happens during the shoot. I know I made an annoying noise with my mouth when I talked. Sorry if that drives anyone nuts. I'll try to control it in future podcasts. Click on the podcast icon to download and listen to the show.

According to my calculations, this is my 500th post! I never imagined I'd get this far with this blog thing. Yay for me! In celebration of my 500th post I decided to do another podcast. I have a special guest on the podcast! I hope you enjoy it! Click on the podcast icon to download and listen to the podcast.

There doesn't seem to be much interest in my podcast so I'm not sure how many more I'll do. I only got three comments and one e-mail about it. Maybe it was boring. I don't know. Maybe no one who reads me has discovered the world of podcasting. If you haven't I suggest you check out Madge Weinstein of YeastRadio, Fausto of Feast of Fools.net, Wanda Wisdom of Lucky Bitch Radio, or Toby of Vivid Blurry.com. Any one of these would give you a good idea of what's involved with podcasting. I'm sure I'll do some more podcasting but I will also stick to traditional blogging.
I've got a busy weekend planned. W. and I are going away. We're going to Montross Virginia to visit my artist friend, Bob. We have a photo shoot planned on Saturday and then we are staying at The Inn at Montross for the evening. On Sunday we plan to visit Ingleside Vineyards to taste some wine and see the winery. It should be a fun weekend and spending it with W. will make even more special.
The weather has changed in the DC area. I talked about how hot it was yesterday on my podcast but in 24 hours the temperature has dropped 30 degrees and it rained today. We are in for more rain and cooler temperatures for the weekend. I hope it doesn't mess up the photo shoot I have planned on Saturday.
The internet is amazing. Just a minute ago I was listening to Madge Weinstein of Yeast Radio. She was performing at a Chicago bar and in the background was playing a song that I heard awhile ago. You might remember that video that was making the rounds on the internet of a fat guy in his room using a web cam to record him lipsyncing to a very club type song. I had no idea what the song was or who did it. Well, on the podcast I was listening to that song was playing in the background. I wanted to find out what the song was. I listened carefully and was able to figure out some of the lyrics. Of course then I googled the lyrics and found the name of the group. Then I went to the iTunes music store and did a search and found the exact album with a few versions of the song. I did all of this in a matter of like 2 minutes. It's just amazing what you can find on the internet and how fast you can find it. If you care to hear the song, click on the link below.

So I fiddled with creating a podcast and I think I may have done it successfully. Click on the podcast icon to download and listen to my first podcast. It's only about 10 minutes long but it's a 8.7 meg file. Let me know if you like it, want to hear more, or if it's stupid and I should stick to the traditional blogging. Enjoy!
Podcasting
I guess I'm behind the times in the geek world. Podcasting is the newest thing. I just recently found out about. One blog I read everyday, VividBlurry.com, started Podcasting this week. I downloaded and listened to his podcasts so far and they are pretty cool. I think they are MP3 files. You are supposed to download the files and put them on your iPod to listen to at a later time. I haven't done that. I listened to them right on my computer. Sounds like he has quite a set up to create the podcasts. I haven't the first clue how to do it. I've done some searches on the internets but haven't downloaded or bought any software to help me create these podcasts. Plus, once I got the right software, what would I talk about? I think I would need someone here to have a conversation with. I think me talking by myself would be quite boring. I tried using the internal microphone on my iMac and some very simple audio recording software but it sounds like shit when I play it back. I think it's picking up the fan noise from my computer.
Has anyone else looked into Podcasting? And if so, what software do you use? Do you use a microphone or your internal microphone? I think I need to do a lot more research before I attempt to create a podcast. I want it to sound decent so I know I'll have to work on it a bit longer before I create one on my own.
