Snowy Night

Here's a photo I took Sunday evening after the snow had stopped falling.

Shortened Weekend

Click on the picture to see a short video of why I had a shortened weekend with the boyfriend.

Throw Up

I don't think anyone likes to throw up. I haven't thrown up since 2005. Back then I had eaten too much Italian food, drank too much wine, and had too much wild sex. The evening was wonderful until about 2 AM when my stomach told me it had had enough and was going to get rid of what it had. It was not pretty.

Last night I broke that almost 2 year streak. The funny thing is the circumstances were almost identical. I had too much Italian food, too much wine, and too much wild sex. But the difference this time was the boyfriend didn't have to pay $80 for the meal.

Weekend Plans

The boyfriend and I will be going to a winery as usual and spending time together. What will you be doing? What are your plans for the weekend?

Naked Harry

Is this picture real? Or doctored? I ran across this on In The Worship of Manhood and I'm just not sure if it's real. I would think his handlers wouldn't let something like this get out but then again, maybe he wants the exposure. What do you think? Is it real?

Wednesday News

Name a news item you read about today. I read about the withdrawl of troops by some of our allies. Cheney says it's progress. I doubt that.

Second Anniversary

Two years ago today the boyfriend and I went on our first date. We met a few months before but hadn't gone on an offical date. Because February 20th was our first official date, it has become our anniversary. We celebrated our anniversary over the weekend. We had a wonderful time and professed our love for each other and plan to be together for many years into the future. Happy Anniversary, sweetie! I love you!

Here's the boyfriend opening a gift. The traditional second anniversary gift is cotton so I got him a table cloth since he loves to have dinner parties.

Happy Anniversary!

A Day For Presidents

Happy President's Day. I hope you are sitting around trying to name all the past presidents. Can you do that? I can't. I spent the weekend with the boyfriend of course and while we talked about a few presidents, we didn't try to name them all. We were celebrating Valentine's Day and our two year anniversary this weekend. We had a wonderful weekend.

When it was time to leave today I had to clean the snow off my car. We had some snow squalls last night and we had about an inch of snow on top of the cars and such. The side walks and streets were clear though. The boyfriend helped me clean off my car, which only took a few seconds. Then it was time to leave. When I tried to get out of my parking space on the street in front of his condo, my tires just spun and spun. They don't clean the parking spaces when they clean the streets. We had so much ice last week that it's piled up in the parking lanes. I knew on Saturday when I pulled my car into the space that I'd have a tough time getting out. I tried and tried but just spun the wheels. I used the boyfriend's scraper to chip away at some of the ice. That didn't work too well. And while doing all this I kept moving slowly towards the car parked behind me. I wish that asshole hadn't of parked so close. So I eventually had the boyfriend get in the car and slowly push the gas while I pushed from behind. And sure enough. It worked. I was able to push the car up out of the ice rut and onto flat ground. Then I was able to pull right out of the space. What a pain in the ass.

As I was leaving I was waving to the boyfriend and yelling thank you out the window. He's so good to me.

February Winter

The snow and ice we had last Tuesday has been hanging around forever. February seems to be the month when we really feel winter. The temperatures are very cold and we see more snow in February then other months. Today the boyfriend and I got out and went to a winery. It's about an hour drive from DC. I think they got more snow and ice then we got here. The scenery was beautiful though. Luckily they had their driveway and parking lot cleared. I snapped a few photos. Here's one of the frozen pond on the property. They have beautiful views there. We had a very nice afternoon.

Celebrating Valentines Day

The boyfriend and I were finally able to get together to celebrate Valentine's Day. It's been too icy this week to get together so we just waited until this evening. We had a wonderful dinner of baked cod, rice pilaf, and green beans. Here you see the boyfriend with his gifts. I got him the pink iPod Shuffle and some candy. I loaded up the iPod Shuffle with some love songs. How sweet.

Snow Days

I was in the middle of making this video when the boyfriend called to inform me about snow days. I did the beginning over again to reflect the changes I heard about from the boyfriend.

Click on the picture below to see a very short, snowy video.

My Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day

I Love You!

Snuggling

It's cold out. The snow, sleet, and freezing rain is falling and piling up. It's warm in my house but there's something missing.

My boyfriend isn't here to snuggle with me. We are big snugglers and spend lots of bed time snuggling. It would be wonderful if he could be here with me tonight to snuggle. While I would love to have him here, I don't want him driving in this bad weather. We will have plenty of time this weekend to snuggle. Snuggling would be wonderful on Valentine's Day but I'd prefer he be safe.

I hope you all have someone to snuggle with and the weather in your area isn't keeping you from snuggling. And if you are single, like a blogger I know, do something special for yourself. Eat some chocolate.

Phone Found

I think my early onset alzheimer's was kicking in yesterday when I was looking for my phone. I was racking my brain trying to figure out where I left my phone. It's very unusual for me to forget where I put something. I usually know where everything is and where I put things. I don't know what was happening to me yesterday.

Turns out my phone was in my car. My car has cupholders exactly like the ones in the picture. There's a little sliding cover that goes over the cupholders to cover them when not in use. On Saturday when the boyfriend and I went to dinner, I must have put the phone in the cupholder and closed the lid. Then on Sunday when we went to wineries, the boyfriend took his phone and I didn't have to think about mine. Then last night when I was being anal and getting things ready to start the week I was looking for my phone to put in my briefcase to be ready for work and couldn't find the phone. I was panicking about where the phone was. I was driving myself nuts. I had gotten myself so worked up that I had convinced myself I'd have to get a new phone, a new number, and hope no one had used up all my minutes on the found phone. Alas, I was worrying for nothing. The phone was safely in my car waiting for me to retrieve it. I'm such a dork sometimes.

Lost Phone

Crap! I think I lost my cell phone. I had it last night when the boyfriend and I went to dinner with firends but this morning when I went to look for it to take it with me when the boyfriend and I went out to wineries, I couldn't find it! I've never lost my phone before. What do you do? Will I have to cancel the phone service? Will I have to get a new number? What should I do?

Back To Netflix

Years ago I was a member of Netflix. I think I might have been one of the first memebers. At that time they only had like 10,000 movies. That sounds like a lot but when you break it down by genre, it's not that much. When I was a member I had all the gay themed movies on my queue. During the time I was a memeber, I watched ALL the gay movies they had at that time.

Anyway, I decided to re-join Netflix and see they have over 70,000 titles now. And there are so many new gay titles that I haven't seen. I've got my queue lined up with lots of titles that I'm looking forward to seeing. Today I just got Eating Out in the mail. And I've already sent back The Night Listener and TransAmerica. While I enjoyed both, they weren't that great. I didn't think TransAmerica should have gotten an Oscar nod.

So..do you have any suggestions for movies I should have on my queue? Let me know.

So Sad

I know it's already been all over the news and every blog I read but Anna Nicole Smith died today. At this point I haven't heard the cause of death but I suspect it's drug related. So sad.

Snow Day

Mother nature finally came through for me! The bitch provided enough snow last night to get me out of school today. It was only about 2 inches but because it's so cold here nothing is melting or going away. And it was enough to keep the buses parked. I hope to get a lot done today. It's always nice to have an unexpected day off. When I went to bed last night I was only expecting a delayed opening. Yea! I have a day off!

Here's the view from my balcony this morning.

Completely Straight

Yeah, right.

Upgrade To Vista

NOT! How many options are there for upgrading to Vista? Let's take a look, shall we?

Skip Vista and get a Mac!

Blue Ridge

The boyfriend and I went to a winery this weekend that is up in the blue ridge mountains of Virginia. Despite the cold, it was a beautiful day and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create a memory of the view. I see why they call them the blue ridge mountains. Click on the picture to see a larger view.

Guilt

Virginia's House of Delegates unanimously approved a resolution on Friday expressing "profound regret" for Virginia's role in the slave trade. Read about it here.

"The General Assembly hereby expresses its profound regret for the Commonwealth's role in sanctioning the immoral institution of human slavery, in the historic wrongs visited upon native peoples, and in all other forms of discrimination and injustice that have been rooted in racial and cultural bias and misunderstanding."

Will it be 150 years before they realize and apologize for what they are doing to gays and lesbians in the state of Virginia? It just might. It's still politically correct to discriminate against gays and lesbians. How sad.

What A Bitch

That bitch, mother nature, screwed me again! I didn't see a single snowflake today. Promises, promises. And it looks like nothing's going to happen tomorrow either. Next time I see that bitch, I'll cut her!
