Two Models
My artist friend Bob and I had a photo shoot today and worked with the two models below. They were both very good models and took direction well. I know I've been saying for awhile that I'll be working on the photo galleries and I promise I'll be adding to them soon.
MacBook Arrives
The MacBook arrived yesterday but I was too busy to write about it. Today my artist friend Bob arrived and is visiting for the next few days to do a photo shoot. While he was here this evening we played with the Photo Booth feature of the MacBook and here are a few photos from our silliness.
The MacBook is amazing. It's fast and boots up really fast too. I've already installed Apple's Boot Camp and I've installed Windows XP Home Edition. It's so cool. You hold down the option key at startup and you can choose which opertating system you want to use. Windows runs pretty quickly too! Doubt I'll use it much but it's cool that I can if I have too.
The funniest thing I've heard today was Bob saying, "You are just as excited as you were when they brought the fries to the table."
Poor Star Jones is off the View. Too bad.
Homer has a letter published in the New York Times! Very cool! You go Homer!

Northern Neck Weekend
This past weekend the boyfriend and I went to visit my artist friend Bob. He lives on the Northern Neck of Virginia. There are a handful of wineries there as well. We decided to visit wineries and Bob.
Saturday we went to two wineries on our way to Bob's. Once we go to Bob's we relaxed for a while. We took advantage of Bob's indoor poor and swam naked. That was SO much fun. I hadn't been in a pool in years. That evening we went to a Jazz event at Ingleside winery. We met some nice people and tasted some nice wines.
On Sunday we spent almost the whole day relaxing in the pool. I took some photos of the boyfriend relaxing at the pool and other places around Bob's house. That's always fun.
Sunday evening we went back to Ingleside because we were invited to attend and educational seminar about the components of wine. The event was very informative and fun. We ended the evening falling asleep while watching a movie with Bob.
Early Monday morning we woke up to hear about all the rain our area had gotten overnight and about all the traffic problems in our area so we decided to skip the wineries and get home. It took us about four hours to get home but we did squeeze in a short stop at one of our favorite wineries for a quick lunch.
We had a great weekend. We traveled almost 500 miles and I can report that my new Honda Civic Hybrid gave us 46.8 miles per gallon. That's a huge increase from my old Ford Escape that only ever returned about 18 miles per gallon.

New Toys
Okay, I took the plunge. I went out this morning and bought a new car. I bought the 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. It gets 49 miles a gallon....I hope that comes true. The one in the picture below is exactly like mine. I need to get the camera out and take my own pictures. I feel so green today!
On the computer front, my MacBook has shipped! It's on it's way and expected to arrive a week from today. I can't wait!

Summer Concerts
The summer concerts have started. Last night we went to Wolf Trap to see Los Lonely Boys. We took our picnic basket and some wine. We sat on the lawn enjoying our dinner, wine, and the music. I'm not a huge fan of their music but I did enjoy the concert. And it's always nice when the boyfriend holds my hand during the concert. There was a good crowd there and they didn't get obnoxious listening to the music. The boyfriend is a member of Wolf Trap so we get discounts on tickets and such. He was so sweet to buy me a t-shirt before we left. We had a great time. And of course the best song was Heaven. You can hear it on 
.We have plans to see Dave Brubeck, The Gipsy Kings, and Chris Isaak during the summer. There are others we might attend as well.
MacBook Ordered
Today was the last day of school and I was presented with a $650 gift card to the Apple Store. What did I do the minute I got home? I ordered a MacBook! I got the white 2.0 ghz Intel Core Duo chip with 1 gig of ram and the 120 gig hard drive. I'm very excited because I haven't had a new computer or laptop for more then 2 years. My current 17" G4 PowerBook is almost 3 years old and while it's running just fine and has been a great work horse for almost 3 years, it's time to upgrade. I've been wanting a smaller computer for awhile now. The PowerBook is great but it's simply too big and too heavy. I'm ready for a smaller, lighter laptop. The Apple Store says it will ship on Friday and get to me by June 30th. I can't wait!Bruise
Have you ever gotten a bruise from having sex? This is what happened to me last night. My boyfriend can be so rough sometimes. And no, I won't tell you how it happened or any of the details. hehehe

Carl says that I never post pictures of the boyfriend smiling so I searched the photo archives and found these two photos of him smiling. So you see he does smile. I had a hard time finding these so I'll have to work on taking more photos of him smiling.
Great Eyes
When I was looking through the photos I had taken from the weekend I saw this one and thought it really shows how beautiful my boyfriend's eyes are. Besides the fact that he's gorgeous, he does have nice eyes. I'm sure you'll agree.
