It seems like summer has begun. It was 95 in DC today. Too hot for me. Memorial Day always signifies the beginning of summer. It also means my birthday.

This weekend the boyfriend treated me very well. We had nice dinners, nice times together, he took me to a Shear Maddness at the Kennedy Center and then to dinner at Kincaids. We went shopping, had dinner with a good friend, and enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the Bishop's Garden at the National Cathedral.



He surprised me with a gift several times throughout the weekend. He would set the gifts out where he knew I would find them. For example, before bed on Friday night he laid out a new pair of sleeping pants on the bed. Then Saturday morning when I went to take a shower he had placed a bottle of cologne on my towel. Then at breakfast on Monday he placed a book about wine at my place setting. He's so sweet and so creative. I love him!



The weekend was wonderful! I got lots of cards, e-mails, voicemails, and even a gift from Oregon! Thanks to everyone for making my birthday so special. Makes me wonder what will happen when I turn 50...in 8 years.

Oh my gosh! I'm sooooo glad it's Friday. I have had a killer week and a three day weekend is just what I need. I got a few cards in the mail today and expect even more tomorrow. I'm going to the boyfriends for the whole weekend so the count down will have to wait until I return on Monday. Monday is my actual birthday anyway so I'll record an update and tell about the weekend.

So on day four of the birthday count down finds the mail box empty. I didn't get any cards today. I did get one yesterday from my mom. I'm sure as we get closer to the actual day there will be more cards in the mailbox.

What about a gift list? Well, I'd love a new MacBook and maybe a new iMac. But I doubt I'll get either of those. How about a new iPod? Or even some new clothes or a new car? Nah, won't get those either. What will I get? Only time will tell. Stay tuned!

My birthday is next Monday, May 29th. That means there are 5 days left until my birthday. The count down begins. In 5 days I'll be 42. In 5 days I'll be the same age as my boyfriend. In 5 days I'll have a day off to celebrate my birthday. Sounds like it's going to be a big celebration. I know my boyfriend is planning things for the weekend but I'm not exactly sure what they are. At this point in my life birthdays aren't that big a deal. It's really just another day. Of course having someone to spend it with and celebrate with makes it more enjoyable. Today I got my first birthday card in the mail. Of course it was from my mother. Love her.

So the count down begins. 5 days and counting.

I know the show has lost it's touch over the last few years but Will and Grace will go down as one of the best gay shows on TV. Many may say that it wasn't the best representatioin of gay life but considering that nothing else was on TV like it when it started, we have to give it credit for what's it's done for our community. The show has been popular for 8 years and tonight saw it's last episode. I have the first 4 seasons on DVD and plan to get the rest as they are released. I will miss Will, Grace, Jack, and Karen.

Apple released the new MacBook today. I was so tempted to surf over to the Apple store online and order one but I just don't have the cash right now. I have to wait until the summer time to get one. I will definitely get one but just not right now. Of course it will drive me crazy to wait but I have to. If any of my readers get one, let me know how wonderful it is.

Yikes! Today was Mother's Day! I didn't send a card or a gift or anything. I tried calling but she wasn't home. I called again this afternoon and she still wasn't home. I'm a good son. Hopefully she'll forgive me. I hope you remembered Mother's Day and did something special for your mother. Of course I'll make it up to mine at a later date.

On Saturday I had a photo shoot with two beautiful men. Not only are these guys gorgeous but they are also a couple. They are so cute together and pose together so well. Hopefully I'll get to adding them to my gallery this summer. Enjoy the photos.
