Spring began today at 1:26 PM. The weather is beginning to turn warm. The trees are beginning to bud and flowers are starting to bloom. Of course they are calling for up to 2 inches of snow tomorrow. But to enjoy the beginning of spring, the boyfriend and I went to the Cathedral garden for lunch on Sunday. We had a wonderful time enjoying the birds, the squirrels, the sunshine, the lunch, and the delicious wine. Here are a few photos of our time in the garden.

Saturday evening the boyfriend and I had some friends over to my place for a Sideways Party. We served Virginia Merlots and watched the movie Sideways. Sideways was mostly about wine and there's one famous line in the movie about having Merlot so that's why we decided to serve Merlots. Of course the boyfriend did all the cooking. Everything was delicious. Everyone had a great time and we certainly enjoyed the Merlots. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Happy March! With the crazy weather we've had so far this winter with doses of warm, snow, rain, wind, etc. I am happy to say that in my area March came in like a lamb. It was a very nice day today. It started out cloudy but by 9:00 AM the sun was breaking through and it warmed up to the high 40s. Let's hope this is a good indication that Spring is on the way. While I would love another snow day, I'm ready for the weather to get back to normal.
